The new service cards have a uniform design across the country and only differ in the respective state coat of arms. They have several features that allow quick verification of authenticity. There is a hologram of the police star on the front and tactile bumps are incorporated into the material.
The photo is designed as a tilt image and the emergency number 110 can be found on the back. In addition, the word “Police” is embossed in Braille so that even visually impaired people can recognize the ID card. The whole thing is rounded off by naming the respective executive committee.
Two versions are circulating in parallel.
Since the changeover takes some time, both the old paper ID and the new ID in the form of a chip card are currently valid. Citizens should therefore know that both variants are official. What is crucial is that the security features are recognizable and the image, name and rank can be clearly assigned.
