The overall rating of the grill test is made up of three categories: grilling, equipment and handling.
The most important category of our grill tests is the Grill rating. The first criterion for this is the heating time: Using a thermometer on the grate, we determine how long a grill needs from 20 to 200, 250, 300 and 350 degrees. We also check the heat distribution on the heated grill grate. Other grill qualities include the availability of a turbo surface, the size of the grill surface, the lid height and the heat storage capacity.
In the Equipment rating In addition to the quality of workmanship, we check, among other things, the number of burners available, the type of grate, whether components are double-walled and whether there are shelves, side burners, a thermometer or other special equipment.
In the Handling rating For example, the assembly time falls, but we also rate the grill tongs holder, transport wheels, a digital thermometer display and integrated piezo or even battery ignition positively.
