Delta State Government sacks Aide for supporting Peter Obi (See Letter)
Delta State Commissioner of Project Monitoring/Audit, Hon. Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, has sacked Miss Awin Atare, one of his Media Aides for reportedly supporting the Labour Party 2023 Presidential Candidate, Dr Peter Obi.
This was made known through the letter from the Office of the Honourable Commissioner Directorate Of Project Monitoring/Audit on Tuesday, October 4.
According to the letter, the withdrawal of appointment as Media Technical Aide “became of necessary owing to your well publicized opinions as the policies and programs of the Delta State Government and PDP at large, which are in contradiction to what the State Government had achieved in the last 7 years.” The letter read in part.
The Commissioner also said that “as a Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council, I wish to distance myself from the opinions you express on your platforms, as it does not represent my stand on the performance of Dr. Ifeanyi Authur Okowa administration which has been well for the overall transmission in the State by way of giant strides in infrastructure, social development, job creation, wealth creation, and the overall development across the State.”
