With the new Smart Shin Pads, introduced at MWC 2026, Cresento brings technology directly to the field. The intelligent shin guards measure performance data and provide detailed evaluations via app.
Cresento is launching smart shin guards that not only protect in the game, but also track every action on the pitch – including AI coaching directly on the smartphone. The “Smart Shin Pads” record match intensity, fatigue and movement and are intended to help users improve their training.
Smart shin guards with app connection
As usual, the pads sit on the shin and record detailed motion data during the game, which can then be evaluated in the Cresento app. There you can see, among other things, maximum and sprint speed, distance run and steps taken, as well as a breakdown of walking, jogging and sprinting per session. In addition, the system analyzes intensity, accelerations and workload – sorted by individual units.
In addition, Weather Insights are intended to show how temperature and humidity can influence your own performance and adapt corresponding metrics. At the same time, Cresento monitors physical exertion with energy consumption, calorie estimation and “load management” so that you can see when you can push yourself to the limit and when regeneration is required.
AI coach for mobile phones
After the final whistle, the app offers a kind of digital coach: You receive clear feedback about what happened in the game and how or where specific action is needed. Personalized recommendations, post-match analysis and progress tracking are designed to ensure you can track improvements across multiple games.
For teams and coaches, there is also a web dashboard with in-depth analysis and squad management. Distance, high-speed and sprint meters, speed values as well as sprints, accelerations and deceleration movements per session can be viewed in detail here.

Data for coaches, rankings for the team
Each player receives their own performance profile with over 50 tracked metrics, seasonal statistics and advanced analysis of cadence and work rate. There are also FIFA-like attribute values such as PAC, STA, POW, INT, FIT and WRK, which are supposed to be based on real performance data.
You can additionally motivate your team using team leaderboards: Rankings based on overall ranking, top speed, running distance, work rate and other key figures make it clear at a glance who is currently ahead. Interactive charts are intended to visualize pace, distance, acceleration, intensity zones and work rate over time – within a session or across several games.
Match summary at a glance
After each mission, a player receives a match summary with team-wide metrics such as average distance, total steps and maximum speed. The integrated StatsEngine also automatically divides how much time players spent standing, walking, jogging or sprinting.
Usage remains uncomplicated: put on your pads, play, then open the app and view the recorded data including AI coaching. Cresento emphasizes that the fit, comfort and data quality have been optimized specifically for real football operations – the protector should feel natural and at the same time provide usable insights.
Pre-order from March 2026
Cresento says it is working with footballers and teams to further refine the product until launch. Those interested can pre-order a pair and choose a time slot online; The team will then contact you to confirm and answer any questions.
