The ADAC has compiled data on what petrol and diesel cost in other European countries compared to Germany. What you can see: In Germany, high prices are charged for both diesel (1.92 euros) and gasoline (1.90 euros). There are many countries where fuel is cheaper.
But it is also more expensive: it is currently most expensive in the Netherlands (petrol, 2.07 euros) and Switzerland (diesel, 2.08 euros), among others.
But where is it cheapest in Europe?
- Petrol: A liter of petrol is currently the cheapest in Poland (1.37 euros).
- Diesel: If you fill up with diesel, the cheapest way is in the Czech Republic (1.38 euros).
The ADAC states that the values determined should only be used as a guideline. Of course, there are price fluctuations in other countries too, and the database is not always perfect because there are long delays in price reports.
Important: In other countries, fuel on the motorway also costs significantly more than in the nearest cities and towns.
