The Unihertz Titan 2 Elite is attracting attention at the MWC 2026 in Barcelona. Can the cell phone fill Blackberry’s shoes? We tried it.
Unihertz makes smartphones that aim to stand out from the crowd. So does the new one Titan 2 Elitewhich with its physical keyboard is reminiscent of a classic Blackberry of yesteryear.
According to the Chinese startup, it is aimed at professionals, prolific writers and everyone who does “satisfying feeling of clicking buttons” love. We tried out the Titan 2 Elite at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, you can see our impressions in the video above.

In our hands-on with the device, we were particularly impressed by the form factor: the small cell phone fits perfectly in the hand and the buttons have a pleasant feeling of pressure. However, they are already very small and are close to each other. It’s hard to type accurately with average thumbs. The keyboard is in QWERTY format, so you’ll have to rethink a bit if you’re used to the German-language QWERTZ keyboard layout.
If you slide your finger over the keys, you can control a cursor. The 4-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz can also be operated via touch as usual. The mid-range chip Mediatek Dimensity 7300 with eight cores and 2.6 GHz is used as the processor, and there is also 12 GB of RAM.
The system runs the latest Android 16, and the manufacturer promises system updates up to version 20 and security patches until 2030.
In the coming days starts the Titan 2 Elite on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, the slightly edgier predecessor Titan 2 has already been successfully financed there and is available for $400.
