How KO Baba’s Youth Convention is preparing Nigeria Youth for the future
The Youth Convention held in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital between 19th and 20th August, 2022, was indeed a great opportunity for Nigeria youth to set their sight towards eliminating poverty in the society and also prepare their mind towards the 2023 general elections.
The KO Baba Youth Convention 2022 which was captioned; “Away From Poverty”, was strategically held to reposition the teaming Nigeria youth on challenges ahead of them and how to navigate through life in their chosen careers.
The convention has proven to be potent and important in the lives of Nigeria youth especially, those in Rivers State, as the convention gave every participant an opportunity to interact and interface with successful and renewed personalities in different field ranging from politics, entertainment, business, media as well as legal.
Judging from the observations during the event, the Youth were impressed with the level of expertise displayed by everyone who graced the podium of KO Baba Youth Convention 2022. One of the attendees told me during one-on-one interaction that he felt the convention shouldn’t stop because of the level of hidden information released to them by panelists and speakers.
The two day KO Baba’s Youth Convention 2022 which has become annual event attracted over 2000 attendees and had some youth won different giveaways such as cable decoder, smartphones, etc.
During different panel seasons, Nigeria youth were advised to prepare their mind ahead of the forthcoming general elections and ensure they vote right Candidates who will fill different positions across the country. They were told to vote beyond parties but vote for individuals who have proven themselves worthy for a position of leadership.
One of the attendees who gave me her name as Queen said she “didn’t regret attending the event because I don’t think I could learn all these packages for totally free of charge.”
“As for the next elections, I think for these two days, all the panelists said the same thing which is, vote credible and proven Candidates, don’t vote parties but vote individuals.” Queen said.
The KO Baba Youth Convention 2022 had some notable personalities as panelists and speakers, which include the Accord Party Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, Labour Party Candidate for Rivers State House Of Assembly, Isaiah Olumati, Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, Action Democratic Party (ADP) Governorship Candidate, Victor Fingesi, Emeka Nobis, DJ Christian Mfon Jornsen.
Others include, Nigeria Info Presenter, Enoh Egbovire, JFK Abiona, Pastor Kenny Ajibade, Uche Onechie and host of other speakers and panelists.
Governorship Candidate of the Accord Party, in Rivers State, Chief. Dumo Lulu Briggs praised the ace Comedian KO Baba for his laudable contributions in repositioning the youth.
According to the businessman and politician, KO Baba has taken it upon himself to perform the duties of government which is to make positive impact in the lives of Rivers youths.
On her own, Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo advised the youth to take it upon themselves to save this country and take over their destiny while advising the Government at all levels to invest heavily in n youth development if they want the country to move forward.
The Rivers State born actress also encouraged Nigeria youth to “use their creativity to create fame, fortune and power and take over their rights in this country.”
Summarily, KO Baba Youth Convention 2022 recorded a huge success in attendance and delivery from panelists and speakers and we look forward to next edition.
