Meet Kendrick Christian, the youngest State Chairman of a Political Party
Every human being, they say, have potentials that need to be harness and put into use in different facet of life for human and economic growth of any nation.
Nigeria is filled with youth who are eager to show what they are made of with their energetic mindset.
In recent years, Nigeria youth have been found to be getting themselves involved in Nigeria politics. This was made possible after “Not Too Young To Run Bill” which is an act of parliament, which sought to reduce the age limit of running for elective offices in Nigeria, sponsored by Hon. Tony Nwulu of the House Of Representative and Senator AbdulAziz Nyako of the Senate was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on May 31, 2018 before the 2019 general elections.
The passage of the bill has made many budding Nigerian Youth to rise to face the challenges of political leadership in Nigeria. One of such youth is the Rivers State born, Kendrick Christian.
Kendrick Christian, hails from Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State is one of the promising Nigerian Youth who have taken it upon themselves to succeed in political space despite the challenges associated with it.
In August 2020, Kendrick Christian emerged as the State Chairman of Action Democratic Party (ADP). This made him the youngest State Chairman of a Political Party in Rivers State and Nigeria at large in the history of politics in Nigeria and his State.
Since his emergence, Christian has proven to be what is expected of a Political Party Chairman in Nigeria, making the Rivers State Governorship Candidate of ADP in the forthcoming 2023 election, Victor Fingesi, to have trust in his leadership.
Aside Politics, Kendrick Christian is a known Media entrepreneur and events Convener.
He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of popular Port Harcourt Magazine. The bi-monthly publication, which celebrates talents, personalities and promote cultures of the State. The publications have proven to be productive initiative from Kendrick Christian.
He is also the founder and Convener of yearly Port Harcourt Magazine Awards, with the aim of rewarding hard-working individuals and cooperate organizations in Rivers State.
It didn’t stop there, Kendrick Christian has also proven to be a young man who loves entertainment. This has led him to set up a yearly carnival known as “Island Carnival” which holds every December at Ojimba Island in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Becoming the youngest Political Party Chairman in the history of Rivers State and Nigeria at large was made possible owning to the fact that he has wealth of knowledge in his knowledge bank.
