Mercy Chinwo recounts her failures after winning five awards in a night

Nigerian gospel musician, singer, actress, comedian and songwriter, Mercy Nnenda Chinwo popularly known as Mercy Chinwo, has recounted how she had own fair share of losses, failures, and disappointment before God showed her mercy.

She made this known in a post after she won five awards in United States of America.

Thanking God for the Awards, the Nigerian multi award winning gospel music artiste said, “it wasn’t always like this; the recognition and all that you see now. I’ve had my fair share of losses, failures, and disappointment in life but the thing is, I kept going, I refused to quit; not in the face of oppositions.”

Mercy Chinwo won five awards at the just concluded Maranatha Awards Network, United States of America. The category includes:

Best Recording Gospel Artist in Africa
Best Gospel Album/EP in Africa – Elevated
Best Gospel Music Video in Africa – Wonder
Best Praise Song in Africa – Wonder
Best Supplication/Petition Song in Africa – Confidence.

In the post on her official social media page, Mercy Chinwo wrote:

“LIFE IS SWEET WITH JESUS

It wasn’t always like this; the recognition and all that you see now. I’ve had my fair share of losses, failures, and disappointment in life but the thing is, I kept going, I refused to quit; not in the face of oppositions. Quite often, I take some time to reflect upon the Grace and Mercies of God upon my life and I’m humbled.

FIVE (5) awards at a go… This is indeed a ‘WONDER’.

From my heart, I’d very much like to appreciate my family (online and offline), my friends and my well-wishers for joining me to pave the way for such an honour. I never would have made it this far without you all and this is worthy to note. To the entire team at Maranatha, I say a very big ‘thank you’. To the Almighty God, the One who has blessed me with all heavenly blessings in His Son, Jesus, I dedicate these awards, and to the advancement of the Kingdom agenda.
