Anyone who works with Adobe Photoshop can look forward to new intelligent functions to edit images even faster.
Like Adobe announced in a blog postthere are now numerous innovations in the flagship software Photoshop. These are intended to help users reach their goals more quickly “Reduce tedious tasks, improve work and have more precision and control” to obtain.
The most important features we will show you an overview here.
New adjustment layers make corrections easier

Adjustment layers are useful for non-destructively adjusting the properties of images and individual layers. Photoshop gets new variants here with “Clarity”, “Remove haze” and “Grain”.
- Clarity: improves structure and sharpness of the subject
- Remove haze: balances lighting and reduces unsightly haze
- Grain: gives more dimension
Another feature is the dynamic textwhich is still in beta but can already be tested by users. With the function you can easily arrange texts in a circle, which works both with a whole circle around and with semicircles curved up or down.
This is a function that is more familiar from Adobe InDesign, where text can lead freely along paths.
More AI capabilities for creative manipulation

Firefly’s natively integrated AI functions are particularly interesting for many users. Can do this Open source alternatives like GIMPwhich for a long time were almost on a par with Photoshop, but unfortunately can no longer keep up.
According to Adobe, features like Generative filling, expanding and removing “Higher quality results with 2K resolution, sharper details and fewer artifacts” delivery. This is made possible by the latest models.
Firefly is supposed to better adhere to the given prompts and reduce transitions – we at CHIP were able to determine this in some tests when images were expanded at the edges to fit the format. This makes it a welcome optimization.
If you use a reference image to insert into a photo, then according to Adobe the geometry is better taken into account be, i.e. factors like
- Scaling
- rotation
- lighting
- Color
- perspective
automatically adjust to the target photo. Adobe says it is monitoring “an incredible adoption and use of AI-powered tools in Photoshop.” It is therefore clear that there is a lot of focus on updates here.
