Nigerian journalist and radio presenter, Mary-Ann Okon, has revealed how a pastor asked her out for a date after saying that the Bible is against women who cheat.

Mary-Ann Okon made this known in a post on her social media account. In the post the radio Presenter recalled how one pastor that told her that the Bible is against women who cheat. Though she did not reveal the name of the supposed Pastor or his Church, according to her, she asked him what the Bible said about cheating men but the Pastor said the Bible only made mention of the cheating wife and not husband.

Surprised Mary-Ann said the Pastor later asked her out for a date which means he pre- excused himself for cheating.

“I remember one pastor that told me that the Bible is against women who cheat & I said what about men? He said ‘the Bible only speaks about women’. I said “that’s double standards”! Cheating is bad. Now I understand, cos baba later toasted me & that was pre-excuse for what he’d do. Nothings surprises me anymore.”

Quick Look At What Bible Said About Cheating On A Spouse:

2. Matthew 5:27-28 ESV: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

3. John 8:10-11 ESV: Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”

4. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 ESV : To the married I give this charge (not I, but the Lord): the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does, she should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband), and the husband should not divorce his wife.
