Seki Dance performs at the 2022 AFREXIMBANK and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum
Yibo Koko has explained that the foremost SEKI DANCE was give a prime recognition as the only entertainment presentation at the just concluded 2022 AFREXIMBANK and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum event held in Abuja.
The event was organized by the Second Africa Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) Conference.
In his reaction to SEKI DANCE at the event which had Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, other Africa Leaders, Governors and top dignitaries, Yibo Koko wrote:
“Seki Dance was given a prime place as the only entertainment presentation at the AFREXIMBANK and the NIGERIA GOVERNORS’ FORUM organized Second African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) Conference on Friday 30th September 2022 at the State House, Banquet Hall, Abuja, Nigeria.
“It helped us deepen our conversation on the Creative Economy, that beyond our seki dance performances, Séki Dance is a Creative Economy Tool-kit to jumpstart people-driven growth projects.
“With the Theme: “African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network Championing Africa’s Development”, our objective with the Séki Dance was to deepen the conversation for cultural integration to accelerate the 17 Sustainable Development Goals through Culture and Knowledge Economy skill-sets that guarantee employment generation and drive wealth creation opportunities through Heritage Impact Marketplace programs in Nigeria and Africa.

Yibo Koko is a Nigerian film maker, art director, creative artist and producer. Koko created the Seki Dance Drama, telling the story of the Rivers State people through dance. He is the Director General of the Rivers State Tourism Development Agency and a voting member of the Nigerian Oscar selection committee.
