From June 15th to 21st and from December 14th to 20th there will also be a Europe-wide campaign to specifically combat alcohol and drug driving.
There is a particular focus here on June 19, 2026: On this day, the police authorities conduct one 24-hour control marathon and check road users nationwide in order to remove drunk or intoxicated drivers from traffic at an early stage.
Motorcycles also affected
From June 1st to 7th The European police network Roadpol focuses on the safety of two-wheeler drivers. The inspection week is aimed specifically at drivers of motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles and scooters. Among other things, the condition of the vehicles, protective equipment, visibility and driving behavior are checked. The aim of the campaign is to increase the safety of particularly vulnerable road users.
