The Songmics office chair OBN067 offers good seating comfort that is suitable for everyday use. The seat height can be adjusted between 46 and 56 centimeters and therefore covers a relatively wide range of body sizes. The backrest can be locked in four stages and has an adjustable tilt limit, which allows the maximum tilt angle to be limited. However, there is no provision for height adjustment of the backrest. There is also no individually adjustable tilt resistance – this limits fine-tuning somewhat.
The seat depth is not adjustable, but the stabilized front edge of the seat provides noticeable relief for the thighs, especially when sitting for longer periods. The headrest, which can be adjusted in height and tilted, is a positive feature and thus offers additional support for the neck and head. This starts at around 60 cm above the seat and can be adjusted up to 70 cm – that’s quite low, taller people won’t necessarily be able to benefit from the support.
The armrests are extensively adjustable: they can be adjusted in height, rotated and pushed back and forth. This means they enable an ergonomic arm position and can be easily adjusted to different sitting positions and table heights. These can be set very high, up to 30 cm above the seat, but they also start very high at 22 cm. This may be inappropriate for very long arms or short torsos.
The fabric-covered seat can hold up to 150 kilograms, is breathable and reduces the development of heat and moisture even during longer periods of sitting. The chair is also easy to care for, the controls are easily accessible and the rollerblade wheels effectively protect hard floors from damage. The appearance is not the best, but it is functional.
