The reason EFCC sized Nengi’s 37 million naira Range Rover revealed
The Range Rover belonging to former Big Brother Naija, Nengi, has been reportedly seized by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
The news which is now gone viral in the media have it that the EFCC seized the luxury car worth about 37 million naira from Nengi after it was discovered that the car was bought with illegal proceeds.
Multiple sources has come out to report that a Ponzi scheme owner bought it for the Reality TV star, Nengi.
However, the news also said the Ponzi owner who bought the car for her has been arrested and is currently cooling off in the EFCC net and the car he bought for Nengi has been seized as a crime proceed.
A Twitter user, @FoluShaw, who alleged that Nengi’s car was seized by the EFCC after Mr. Micheal Diongoli was arraigned before a Lagos Federal court, tweeted,
“Appaz one Michael Ukiye Diongoli a ponzi scheme operator has been arraigned in front Jusitice Mabrose Lewis Allagoa of Lagos Federal High Court by Force CID Alagbon for defrauding multiple victims of 1.2 billion. Appaz he financed a few projects for Nengi and its been reportedly seized as proceeds of crime. Was confiscated in July actually”.
Recall that the Bayelsa State born Star had in 2021 flaunted the Range Rover on her social media to celebrate her car. The post got thousands of comments from social media Users to celebrated her achievement.
